About this trip
Seek the blessings of Lord Shiva on the Mahakaal Road Trip — a thoughtfully paced weekend pilgrimage from Mumbai that covers 2 sacred Jyotirlingas, 2 Shakti Peethas and the heritage town of Maheshwar, all without missing a single working day. Departing Thursday evening and returning by Monday early morning, the journey involves overnight travel only once, so both your nights are spent resting at destination hotels rather than on the road. Along the way you’ll have VIP darshan at Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar, witness the spectacular Mahakaal Lok light show with its 900-metre illuminated corridor and 108 glowing pillars, attend the serene Narmada Aarti at Maheshwar’s ancient ghats, and take in the Ahilyabai Fort laser show. Travel in a 16-seater AC Urbania or a comfortable AC Sleeper Bus, stay in 3-star hotels, and let an experienced trip coordinator handle the details. Every travel leg is broken with meal and tea stops — no gruelling 15-hour drives — making it ideal for families, seniors, couples and solo devotees alike.
